Mobile Game Spending Down Nearly 7% Since Last Month
In the month of March of 2022, the global gaming market generated roughly $7 billion in spending between the App Store and Google Play platforms. This number represents a slight 6.3% decrease month over month.
The United States was the top revenue market, bringing in $1.9 billion, making up 27.3% of all revenue. China ranked second with a market share of 19.2%, followed by Japan (19%).

The top-grossing mobile game for March 2022 was Tencent’s Honor of Kings, growing 5.8% to around $272.4 million in player spending.
PUBG Mobile was the second highest-earning mobile game worldwide at $199.8 million in revenues. The PUBG earnings were at 50% credited to China, and only 10% of revenue came from the US.
